Taking a page from rappers such as Twista and Tech N9NE, this ensemble uses a rapid-fire “chopping” or “machine-gun” style delivery of their lyrics. Choppa Clique aspires to be the best rap group since Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and has their eye on the top of the food chain. With all the efforts and fan bases of the three members now focused on one goal, along with the fast-paced networking skills they all possess, they plan on achieving this goal sooner than later. Who exactly are Choppa Clique? Choppa Clique is made up of Maniphest DestNE, D-SPillz, and Hurricane, three highly talented individuals with a focus for the same goal: to be the best group of rappers the Midwest has ever produced. Let’s go a bit in-depth with each member of the ensemble. They were also kind enough to include little fun facts about each of themselves. Hurricane is the oldest member of the Choppa Clique and hails from Kansas City. He is also the fastest member in the group and has a kingly or warrior type style of rapping. He has done tracks with the likes of Twisted Insane, Crucified, D-Loc, and Dalima and has been rapping since 2001. Having put out five solo projects prior to joining the group, he brings the speed of a Ducati and the mental power of a Shaolin master along with his experience in the game to the Choppa Clique. FUN FACT: Hurricane was born on the same month and day as Twista. D-SPillz is the founder of the group and hails from Chicago. Originally known more from the streets rather than the booth, he tries to incorporate his past experiences and stories of his old life into his music – partly as confession, partly as a lesson, and partly to pave a way for his new life as an artist. He has become a recognized threat in a short amount of time and brings that gritty hustle and persuasive edge to the Choppa Clique. FUN FACT: D-SPillz survived a 60-foot fall from a bridge onto land. Maniphest DestNE is the most technical rapper in the group and hails from Cleveland. Aside from rapping, he also mixes and masters all of Choppa Clique’s music. Now residing in Tampa, Florida, he has expanded his fan base from the Midwest to the South. Known for his versatility, he often incorporated many different styles of flow and content into his music as a solo artist; he brings that creativity with him to the Choppa Clique.
