Monroe and Bee, Gunshots and Beestings, Michelle and Bianca. Call them what you will, these ladies are a voice of today’s youth from a uniquely female perspective. Monroe and Bee are Brooklyn born, Long Island bred, and Hollywood bound. Monroe, 19, has been singing all her life. She has honed her talent singing in choirs. Bee, also 19, has been rapping since she was little. They met at Elmont Memorial High School in LI and decided to pool their talents, forming the dynamic duo that has been generating a buzz that extends far past their Long Island town. They have recently been tearing down numerous NYC hot spots, including Link Lounge and Rumors Bar. Inspired a range of artists that spans from Alicia Keys, Missy Elliott, and Jay-z, to J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Lauren Hill and Tupac, Monroe and Bee’s main goal is to have their music globally recognized and respected. Their non-stop grind is determination to succeed is evident. “Action is the foundational key to all success,” says Monroe. “Shoot for the stars. If you fall, you land on a cloud.”
