Ike the Producer is the CEO of A.I. Productions, an award winning mixtape team in which he is the DJ/Producer. Growing up in the South Bronx, Ike was introduced to various types of music, but ended up falling in love with Hip-Hop and R&B. It would be these 2 types of music that would lead him down the path to a promising career. Though he never wanted to be an artist, Ike always knew that he wanted to work in music behind the scenes. But it would take him listening to his first mixtape before he realized his niche in the career he was and still is so passionate about. As Ike recalls “I remember buying every mixtape after hearing my first and sharing my dreams of being a producer with my family and friends.” Over the past couple of years, Ike the Producer has established himself as a notable DJ/Producer,and has had the pleasure of working with the “Original Mixtape King”, RON G,who is one of Ike’s role models and great influence on his mixing style in the early stages of his production. Ike under his production label, A.I. Productions, which was founded in 2006, has dropped several mixtapes and gained world wide acclaim by doing so. His mixing style and the creativity put into his mixtapes was nationally recognized in July 2009 when A.I. Productions won the award for “Best Mixtape Team of the Month” from www.thatcrack.com, a well-known mixtape site. Due to Ike’s diligence, dedication, and tenacity, he has been able to collaborate with DJs from all around the world. But Ike’s works aren’t only limited to just the mixtape scene. He also produces many of his own instrumentals, and helps artists develop their sound and style. Ike of A.I. Productions is not only a producer, but a businessman.
