DJ E-RoC born Eric J. Gmelin was born in Queens, NY and raised in Long Island, NY. DJ E-RoC AKA The Ladies Favorite, started his musical journey at the age of 7, when he was given a mixtape by his uncle Vincent "DJ Uncle Vinny" Bradford. It was at this moment that E-RoC knew he wanted to be part of 'The DJ Scene'. In 1991, at age 8, his Mom & Dad bought him his first set of turntables. He was now being tought to become one of the most versitle DJs of his time. His first musical venture began at the age of 10 from Djing with his cousin Mike "DJ Q" Shields Doing Mobile Gigs. Taking the age factor into consideration, His music gear setup was considerably modest. However E-RoC's persistence prevailed and his love for music pushed him to acquire equipment that was sufficient in satisfying his musical desires. In 1997 at the age of 14, he achieved his big break when he started getting gigs at events such as Teen Clubs, Talent Shows and Private Parties. Since then, E-RoC has worked on crafting his own style of turntablism and focuses on all types of music. E-RoC's ultimate goal is to keep the dance floor packed and make sure you have the time of your life. In 2009 after receiving several offers, E-RoC joined The Youngest DJs In Charge (YDJIC), who helped his career. Since joining YDJIC, E-RoC has been locked in the studio perfecting his craft & Skills. Suffice to say, the new york club scene should be expecting big things from DJ E-RoC in the years to come.
