Coast 2 Coast DJ Membership
Mission Statement: In today's world, mixtapes have become the lifeline of the urban music industry, bringing new and fresh music to the streets and the internet with no restrictions. Coast 2 Coast Mixtape DJs is the only coalition of DJs that focuses on the constantly growing mixtape game. We represent mixtape DJs across the world that are often overlooked or looked down upon by labels, radio, magazines, etc. We stand strong together as a group to let the world see the power of the mixtape DJ and let them know that we are here to stay! We live and die by the phrase, "Respect the DJ" so this coalition is here as a platform for DJs to network and to foster strong business relationships. We provide all DJs in the coalition with the tools, connections and exposure needed to become a powerful force in the mixtape industry and beyond. By pooling our resources and becoming an efficient network we can collectively bargain to provide discounts as well as income from various sources in the music and marketing industry. Together we will raise awareness for all and advance in our individual markets for the good of all in the Coalition. For all members who join the Coalition, Coast 2 Coast promises to do all in their power to further the careers of all DJs in the Coalition.
Member Benefits: Company agrees to provide all Representative DJs in good standing the following benefits:
- Free graphics for mixtape covers
- Official "Coast 2 Coast" signature audio tags and drops to use on your mixtapes
- Official Coast 2 Coast Mixtape DJ logo to put the official stamp on your mixtapes
- Personal shout outs (drops) from some of the major and independent artists that we work with as a coalition
- Profile with your picture, bio and myspace link on the DJ page of www.coast2coastmixtapedjs.com
- All your mixtapes posted on the mixtape section of www.coast2coastmixtapedjs.com
- Optional opportunities for you to make extra income from your mixtapes for extra song placements, advertising banners, sponsorship logos, etc.
- Access to new exclusive music from major and independent artists worldwide
- Access to Coast 2 Coast event sponsorships for your local events
- Optional opportunities for your own radio shows on our affiliate internet radio stations
- Access to monthly conference calls with major and indie Coast 2 Coast Mixtape DJs and industry professionals from around the world
- Ability to request hosting/features from major artists and DJs at discounted prices
- Discounts on mixtape artwork/mixing/duplication/printing and more
Requirements: In order to provide Representative with the benefits of the Coalition, Company requires that all Representatives provide a small amount of promotion for the greater good of the Coalition.
- All DJs must commit to produce at least one mixtape per month while a member of the Coalition, Coast 2 Coast will provide all the necessary tools to help all DJs reach the production required to become a Coast 2 Coast DJ
- All DJs must provide at least 3 spots per month on their mixtapes to promote the songs that we are servicing as a Coalition that month.
- All DJs must attend at least one monthly conference call and provide required feedback through email
- All DJs must use the Coast 2 Coast DJ logo on all mixtapes while a member of the Coalition.
- All DJs must use the DJ logo on all online real estate of DJ, this includes all social networking sites (MySpace, Facebook, Ning, etc.) as well as individual websites
- All DJs must promote the Coalition as a whole for the greater good of all, the bigger each of us gets the bigger the movement as a whole gets.
- All DJs need to have professional artwork, if you do not have professional artwork, you need to use the Free Artwork tab in the DJ back Login to get professional graphics done by one of our designers. We will not release mixtapes with unprofessional graphics.
- All DJs need to follow through with the “DJ Responsibilities” that are emailed to you after you upload each mixtape to our site. These are simple steps such as posting the embed code on your myspace, twitter, facebook, blasting it out, etc.
