Dj Chemo is a multitalented musician, producer, dj and songwriter that has been in the music business for over 20 years. After witnessing his uncle play bass in different bands he was inspired to make music and he began playing drums at the tender age of 4. he was playing drums in his uncles band by the time he was 7 and touring all over the east coast on different club tours. Along the way he started picking up other instruments such as guitar, bass, piano, saxophone, trumpet, trombone and multiple percussion instruments and learning how to play them. At the age of 8 he got his first 4 track recorder and began to produce songs for local artists and to record demos for an array of different rock/cover bands which lead to his interest in producing his own tracks. Since then he has made tracks and remixes for many different artists such as Philly's Most Wanted, Lil Jon, Mobb Deep, J-Kwon, Drivers inc, Freezerburn, Headcrash, and many others . He also worked as a studio musician for many years and wrote and sold songs to many artists. In 1995 Chemo was in a band called Nervesaw and the band was recruited to collaborate with Prophets of Rage. They toured with artists such as Coolio, Die Fantastischen Vier, Megavier and others, and released 2 albums on wea and sony/four music. He has organized concerts and parties with artists such as Blahzay Blahzay, Smoothe the Hustler, Trigga the Gambler, D.V. Alias Khryst, Grand Puba, Snoop Dogg, Dj Jam, Camp Lo, Fatman Scoop and many others. In 1998, after a few years of admiring Dj Superjam's (dj for Prophets of Rage) prowess on the turntables, he decided to add turntables to his list of instruments played. Since then he has concentrated more on dj'ing than any of the other instruments that he plays. In 2004 he started working with Crowd Control on different productions and helping to edit mixtapes. At the time, Crowd Control consisted of Dj Superjam and Dj Doctone. Soon after he joined Crowd Control, Doctone left the group and Chemo started making mixtapes with Dj Superjam such as Dirty South Park, The Official Lowrider Magazine 30th Anniversary Mixtape and The Rollercoaster series. With Crowd Control he has performed with artists such as Fatman Scoop, Scratch(from The Roots), Dj Jam(Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre), Camp Lo, Dj Epps(G-unit rep, Shadyville dj's), Ward 21, Redman, Methodman and many others. He has also either dj'd or been the master of ceremonies at many events such as Rock am Ring, the Splash festival, Turkish National Talent Contest and many others. Now, still with Crowd Control, he is performing all over europe with Superjam on four turntables and adding the flavor of live instruments such as guitar, drums, percussion and other music making devices such as samplers and drum machines to offer crowds an intense, absolutely different style of party. He does regular radio shows on many radio stations and has regular guest spots on some of the biggest stations in the world. Dj Chemo is also currently producing 3 albums. One for F.O.U.R. (Virginia Beach, VA), one for Wowski (Kingston, Jamaica) and Crowd Control's own debut album which will feature artists from all over the world. Be on the lookout for Dj Chemo and Crowd Control!
