Representing inner and outer city Chicago, 20 year old SIUC student and Hip Hop artist Jared Pugh aka "J-Breeze" released his innovative debut mixtape #1ManVarietySHow via DL and hard copy. With the 90s feel as well as soulful samples makes this project one for the ages
Breeze has been a lover of many music genres since as long as he can remember but he started composing raps at the age of 15 where he took specific liking to artists such as Tupac, Kanye West, Outkast, and many more (way too many to name). After developing his style over a period of years, he has come to be the artist he is today. "When people see me they dont say, "yall know that rapper Jared?", they say, "yall know Jared rap?". Being big on creating your OWN identity is a big part of where the concept of this project came from.
Being a senior at SIUC he plans to be that multiple entendre, an artist with multiple uses. On top of being a aspiring actor having a driven passion for music is where this project comes from. With affiliations with Matcy P, up an coming super producer with industry credits from Rich Boy, Erk The Jerk, Da Kidd, Bambino Gold, El Dorado Red, Skyzoo, Fashawn, Corey Fila and many more, DJ Commando up and coming DJ creating a crazy buzz in the Illinois college circuit as well as the Mid West in general, Jeff Jackson, super engineer working out of Classick Studios, QG-BO of Bully Music, Leek Loki of the BoUlevards, all including more makes this mixtape innovative music. Current influences include J.Cole, Jay-Z Young Jeezy, Pusha T, and many more. So be sure to grab that #1ManVarietyShow on May 8th for a bit of what he calls "Finals Week Freshness"
