My name is Robby, but most people know me as RejeKt—a nickname I earned while in jail because of the word "reject" tattooed on my left wrist. It stuck because it fit me all too well. Over time, I embraced it, turning it into a symbol of hope for the outcasts, the pariahs, and, yes, the rejects of the world. The symbol I use was crafted during a six-hour session in Adobe Illustrator CS3, inspired by the concept of a “Not Allowed” or “Banned” symbol. It’s more than just a logo—it’s a beacon. Around 25 people have tattooed it on themselves, and I’m currently working on apparel to extend its reach, creating something tangible for those who feel unseen. I’m 38 years old and wear many hats: tattoo artist, sound engineer, carpenter, and former skateboarder. My life hasn’t been easy—chaotic relationships, tough environments, and countless visits to mental health facilities defined my younger years. During my teens, I attended outpatient care at least three times a week. I’ve faced multiple mental health challenges, but through it all, I’ve grown to like myself over the past few years—a big shift from the self-loathing of my past. I go out of my way to help others, often at the expense of my own responsibilities. I love my family and friends more than anything. My daughter, Luna, born in late 2016, is my light in this world. Violence is something I stand firmly against. Ironically, my passion for peace sometimes makes me feel enraged by the senseless harm people cause. Musically, I pour my heart and soul into my lyrics. While I’ve experimented with producing my own instrumentals, I wasn’t satisfied with the results, so I collaborate and borrow instrumentals to bring my words to life. Every lyric you hear is my truth—raw and unapologetic. I hail from Louisiana, with deep roots in Baton Rouge, Hammond, Plaquemine, Prairieville, Denham Springs, Addis, Gonzales, Maringouin, and Springfield.
