I am B13 - Brandon Bennett aka I am B13 is not your average male from the inner city. The rapper, artist, music producer, actor, community activist and spoken word artist already has a legitimate resume. Brandon lives in Bronx, NY and during his few hours of downtime, the spoken word prodigy writes poetry, prose and music. After Brandon's poetry was published in the fall of 2011 in "The Ringing Ear", he was honored with a ceremony by local politicians at the Harlem State Office Building. Brandon is also an accomplished professional actor. Appearing in various movies and televisions shows and commercials, Brandon became a member of Screen Actors Guild in 2005. His latest accomplishment is being a spokesperson for Rev. Al Sharpton's National Action Network Youth Move. He became a member in August 2011 and his activism in the last 6 months have included serving on the sanitation detail at Occupy Wall Street, co founding the NAN Youth Move Civil Rights Film Festival, marching, rallying and much more. After spending time adapting and serving his local communities, he spends time Producing music. He has been producing music for 3 years. He gets alot of his influences from 9th Wonder, J Dilla, Nunjabes & EOM. He believes that music is the soul connection to peoples lives. He recently released his Instrumental Mixtape : Let Dreams Be Dreams, which contains a majority of his best instrumentals, followed by a bonus track.
