The one and only Ms Krazie is a queen on the mic taking the rap scene by storm with her reign. Possessing a skillful delivery whether she flows in English or Spanish has many taking notice. Alternately aggressive and vulnerable, Ms Krazie always comes correct, rapping with a piercing and raw honesty about the experiences that have shaped her life. A multi-talented artist, she also lends her own singing voice to the choruses of her songs truly making her an undeniably versatile talent in the rap game.
Born in Michoacan, Mexico, Ms Krazie is proud of her roots. She grew up in a musical household and took inspiration directly from her family. “My father has always been involved with music and so ever since I can remember I have been going to see him practice, perform and record,” Ms Krazie says. “I learned from the best. I love my dad and he was my number one influence in wanting to be part of this music scene.” Before eventually immigrating to the United States, she discovered the music of Monterrey, Mexico rappers Control Machete. Intrigued by their distinct take on the genre, Ms Krazie began rapping in her early teens and has never stopped since. Always on the hustle, practicing and perfecting her craft, she later networked with Don Abusivo which would lead her down a path to signing with Urban Kings Music Group.
Since then, Ms Krazie has released four albums worldwide: Brown is Beautiful (2006) Firme Homegirl Oldies (2007) Smile Now Cry Never (2008) and Firme Homegirl Oldies 2 (2010) The records attracted a strong fan base helping her become one of the most marketable and popular acts on the label. Ms Krazie is currently working on her fifth studio album tentatively titled Forgive Not Forget. Her music has received radio play on numerous stations throughout the states including a weeks-long run as the undefeated 8 O’Clock Knockout champion on Palm Springs’ U-92.7FM. She has toured coast to coast in the U.S. and performed in Mexico as well.
Ms Krazie’s notable collaborations include artists such as MC Magic on songs like 2008’s “Let Me Love You” off her own Smile Now Cry Never release as well as 2011’s D. Salas produced “Reasons” featured on MC Magic’s The Rewire album. She has also appeared on a number of Urban Kings compilation albums as well as on tracks with numerous artists on the label. Always thankful to her fans, she has offered opportunities through two YouTube rap contests for up-and-coming male and female talents to be featured on her next album.
When it all comes down to it, Ms Krazie is all about her loyal base with whom she has cultivated a very personal, down-to-Earth relationship with. “I thank you so very much to all the people who have been following my career for this long and who still support, buy my music, go to my shows and love the songs as much as I do,” she says to her fans. “I am forever grateful and really appreciate every single one of you, truly.”
