Lady A - The Real Lady A Known as "The Hardest Workin' Woman in Blues, Soul, Funk & Gospel," Seattle's own Lady A is a powerhouse vocalist, producer, singer-songwriter, storyteller, teaching artist, and community activist. Every performance is rooted in heart, truth, and purpose, with songs that speak to life, love, faith, healing, and community. A four-time Washington Blues Society award winner; including Best Performer (2020, 2021), Best Female Vocalist (2021) and 2010 Blues Music Award Nominee, Lady A was also honored with the 2025 Patti Allen Entertainer of the Year Award. She has toured throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe, earning a reputation for performances that educate, inspire, and leave audiences feeling encouraged. In July 2026, Lady A releases her newest album, The Space in Between, a collection of songs exploring love, healing, reflection, and the conversations we often avoid. As she says, "There's a message in every lyric and a little piece of everybody in the songs." Beyond the stage, Lady A is the founder of Lady A's Blues and Blessings Foundation, using music, storytelling, and cultural education to bring people together, mentoring youth, supporting seniors, and strengthening communities. She also serves as a weekly radio personality on the Walter Trout Blues Rock Radio Station on TGRN (The Grits Roots Network), where she champions independent artists and Black women in music.
