Geren Keith Davis (born July 21, 1990), better known by his stage name G Sharp, is an American rapper, producer, drummer, actor, and entrepreneur. Along with his oldest brother The Artist, G Sharp is the co-founder of Down 2 Erf Productions and Purpose Driven Music Group. G Sharp has won over 10 music awards in his home state of Oklahoma, and has performed with popular national acts such as Rickey Smiley and Friends, Bobby Jones (of Bobby Jones Gospel), Bizzy Bone (Bone Thugs N Harmony) and Paul Wall, as well as a list of local shows including a primetime and halftime performance of WNBA's Tulsa Shock at the world-class BOK Center, making him the first rapper in his state to do so. He also has a tiny bit of major chart success, scoring his first BDS Radio charting in 2011 with his lead single from his debut album Tha Fresh Man. "Jammin On Da One" reached #29 on the Top 40 AM/College/Internet Radio Adds and Airplay Charts. Along with Johnny Polygon and Ester Dean, G Sharp is one of the most popular hip hop artists from Oklahoma. And with his proclamation as 'King of Oklahoma', along with his work in the Christian community, he has gained more listeners (and backfire) and has placed him as one of the most influential artists from the state. And, with his musical and subject versatility (secular/spiritual), it shows he is one of the most contreversial artists of all time. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, G Sharp moved to the small town of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, after his dad was called to pastor a church there. He sang in the church choir, played the drums eventually after his brother The Artist taught him, as he was off to college. He began rapping and recording music at the age of 13. After a few recording sessions in 2005, he released his debut album Tha Fresh Man independently in 2006. In 2008, he released The Declaration of Hip Hop, a more serious approach. In 2009 he immediately followed up with The Greatest Alive and the ground-breaking Bi-Polar (late August), which charted at #2 on Amazon.com's Top Selling Hip Hop albums in early 2010, behind Jay-Z's Blueprint 3. The album is known as one of the greatest hip hop albums in Oklahoma history. In 2010, he followed up with the sequel Bi-Polar: Lyrikilla exclusively to SoundClick.com. It was #1 in the world 5 consecutive weeks, making it SoundClick's greatest selling album of all time. in 2011 he released For The Love of Music, an ode to his best work up to that point, along with a few new songs. He then followed up with Musicae Amore II, the sequel to the previous album, with all new music including the smash single "Thunder" which hit #1 on Amazon.com's Top Selling Dirty South MP3s. His latest work, No Cover mixtape has changed the way hip hop looks at album covers. Unfortunetely, Datpiff.com has removed the mixtape after it surged past 25,000 downloads with no sponsorship. The mixtape is still considered a local classic, landed him an award nomination, and has the world ready for his debut studio album entitled Music That Matters, due fall 2013. He is also 1/2 of the duo ANNIHILATION, the other 1/2 being his brother The Artist. They are a posing threat, promising to be hip hop's next big duo.
