Long Nightz, 27 is a rapper. songwriter, and businessman who was born by the river in southside Memphis, TN and spent his adolescences there until moving to Kansas City, MO. He did not always have it easy being raised by a single mom and 5 brothers. Growing up he did not have much family ties to the music world. He was introduced to the love of music when his dad purchased his first drum set. At this point in his life he sang, danced, and played the drums. His mom even began giving him the nickname “Show” because he was always performing or in other words, putting on a show. has been inspired by music all throughout his teenage years. He performed in solos, talents shows, and rap at open mics. Mr. Nightz sound definitely comes from the heart of Memphis. He wants to bring back the old school feel of Memphis. Some legends like Playa Fly, Project Pat, and Three6Mafia has influence on his sound with some incorporation of the current day sound of MO3, TRel, & Rod Wave. He wants to bring back the community with his music. A period of Long Nightz life, he went to college, got in to legal trouble then fell upon homelessness. When this happened, he knew he needed to focus on the music. He wants everyone to hear his story. His debut single, Kaya was inspired by the Netflix Film Grass is Greener. The documentary speaks about the evolution of cannabis and how it drove a bigger a wedge between black and brown people and the government.
