Ato Osei (NERUKHI) is a Singer / songwriter, Music / video Producer and owner of NERUKHI STUDIOS of Trinidad and Tobago. He is also a visual artist of approx. 20 years experience. He sings different genres of music all with a thought provoking or positive and uplifting message. He was the Corinth Teachers College Teacher of the Year for 2005 and Corinth Calypso monarch for 2004. He was a member of the cast of Kaiso Showkase 2013 with his song The Patriot. This song was also featured on Second Stage series 2012. He is the PRO of the Missioneers Calypso tent and performed at several venues for the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival season. He is a regular at the Open Mic sessions and has been regularly featured at OPEN UP hosted by Feli Renwick-Risbrooke, an event which provides extraordinary opportunity for artistes to gain exposure and a platform for growth. In 2013 Nerukhi completed his Emancipation community tour performing at venues across Trinidad making fans with young and old. His infectious crossover - If I Told You The Truth was the NO 3 song on the Trinidad and Tobago INDIGENOUS CHARTS for the year 2013 . His song THE LIGHT is another of his inspirational messages that has held the NO 1 spot, giving him two songs on the INDIGENOUS TOP 20 for 2013. He recently teamed up with Kiriiah Mekongo of Cameroon in Africa to do his most recent song BACK TO THE ROOTS - released in Africa recently. The song is a powerful message of unity between African peoples within the Continent and The Diaspora... It was recorded @ NERUKHI STUDIOS in Trinidad and Tobago & MAHBAB BEATZ CAMEROON and produced by Ato Osei. It features acoustic guitar tracks by Eugene Bass and Afro drums by Simon Sancho of Gasparillo. Nerukhi is currently in studio working on his third album which features some brand new tracks, a few collaborations and his more recent releases.
